I think having 3D printing in the classrooms would be an excellent idea. It would he beneficial to both students and teachers because teachers would have an extra resource to turn to if their students are having a hard time grasping a concept and beneficial to students because instead of looking at an object in a textbook or on a PowerPoint they could have something physical to hold and touch. It can also be used for students to use their own creativity to create something unique that they can be proud of to show them that they can do anything as long as they work at it.
Tinkercad is a website that allows you to create 3D images. I visited this website and really enjoyed being able to see the different angles of an object and create my own designs. I spent a good amount of time on this website just tinkering with all the different tools and shapes that I could use. I would recommend this website to anyone interested in making a 3D print.
3D printing in the classroom just proves how far technology has come and our students need to be prepared for future technology. Teachers need to have these resources so that we can teach our students about them. 3D printing will open a lot of doors for possibility and motivation for students and teachers.
